Meet Nic Hooks

Nic Hooks was born in Savannah, Georgia, and grew up all over the U.S. because his dad served in the Marine Corps. He always had dogs growing up, but one dog in particular sparked his passion for training: Roxy, his little brother’s Doberman.

After high school, Nic followed in his dad’s footsteps and joined the Marine Corps. During his service, he worked as a Military Working Dog handler and was later selected for MARSOC’s Multi Purpose K9 program. He attended Vohne Liche Kennels for the MPC Handlers course and participated in multiple Train the Trainer programs.

After the Marine Corps, Nic continued his work with dogs at K9s For Warriors, a nonprofit that trains rescued dogs to become service dogs for disabled veterans.

Outside of work, Nic enjoys hiking and camping with his fiancé Caroline and his two dogs, Lana and Willow.
